Born and raised in south west Iowa and growing up in a huge hunting family,
Corey Hackett harvested his first whitetail with a bow at the age of 13 and
the fever has stuck with him ever since. This fever has only increased since
harvesting a nice animal on film with his largest buck being a 160" Iowa 10
point on Halloween of 2004.
When not hunting, you can find Corey managing a construction business, out
camping, 4-wheeling or out and about with his family. As much as he hates to
admit it, Corey enjoys walking the thin line of balancing family, work, and
hunting. It's hard for some people to understand (especially non-hunters) the
amount of time it takes to be successful on great whitetails and do it with a
cameraman along side of you, there's more to it than just the sitting in the
stand; it's the many hard of hours scouting, clearing and planting food plots,
shed hunting, hanging stands and most importantly being scent control freaks!
It's been nice to be able to harvest mature deer and to try to capture a quality
hunts on video although he's had experiences of missed opportunities, let downs,
and an occasional lucky star over the past couple years. Corey has enjoyed every
minute of it and feels honored be given the chance to come on board with such a
knowledgeable, well respected, cutting edge hunting team. He surely will bring
the best he has to the table, telling the whole story of the hunt in our everyday
lives as hunters.
